Tools like OFA and pedigree databases exist to support transparency. They allow you to verify information, study the dogs behind your puppy, and understand what is actually being produced in a line.
We consider these tools essential, and we are happy to help guide you in how to use them.
In our program, the dam is documented in OFA, and the sire’s health testing is documented through his country of origin.

Resources for puppy parents
Orthopedic Foundation for Animals
OFA www.ofa.org is a public database where health testing results are voluntarily submitted by breeders.
It allows prospective puppy families to verify what health testing has been completed and recorded through a third party.
Breeders pay to submit results to OFA, and the purpose of the database is transparency.
You can search a dog by its registered name on the site and view the health testing that has been submitted and verified.
K9data and dogsfiles
The canine database, www.k9data.com is currently in read-only mode, so we are not able to update certain details about our dogs. However, it remains a valuable resource for studying pedigree and following lines over time.
Dogs Files, www.dogsfiles.com is another helpful resource, particularly for viewing photos and exploring dogs across multiple generations.
Golden Retrievers are a well documented breed, and these tools allow you to look far back into pedigrees and better understand the dogs that shaped what we see today.
We have spent a great deal of time studying and understanding these pedigrees, and we hope you find them as interesting as we do.
